Building the enterprise AI platform he wished existed.
The Story
Every enterprise AI engagement had the same gap: smart teams with no structured tools to move from pilot to production.
KD
Founder, TheProductionLine
During my engineering leadership at Brillio, I consulted for Fortune 500 companies on digital transformation and enterprise technology strategy. I watched organizations pour resources into AI pilots that never made it to production — not because the technology failed, but because teams lacked the structured frameworks to evaluate readiness, build business cases, and navigate the organizational change required.
At UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, I deepened my understanding of the intersection between technology strategy and business leadership. The pattern became even clearer: the gap wasn't technical capability. It was practical intelligence — knowing which AI initiatives would actually deliver ROI, how to communicate AI strategy to boards, and how to build teams that could operate AI at scale.
I also saw professionals on the other side — talented people navigating career shifts as AI restructured industries. They needed tools for salary negotiation, interview preparation, and career planning, but the available options were either expensive one-on-one coaching or generic ChatGPT prompts.
So I started The Production Line — a weekly newsletter distilling enterprise AI intelligence into actionable insights. Then I built TheProductionLine: 14 purpose-built AI tools that anyone can run with their own API key, for pennies per run. The career tools I wished I had as a consultant. The enterprise AI tools I wished I could hand every client.
The Journey
Engineering leadership at Brillio, consulting for Fortune 500 companies on digital transformation and enterprise technology strategy. Saw firsthand how organizations struggled to adopt AI at scale.
Studied at UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, deepening expertise in business strategy and technology leadership. Connected with a community of builders and operators tackling enterprise AI challenges.
Realized the same problems repeated across every enterprise AI engagement: teams stuck between pilot and production, leaders unable to articulate ROI, and professionals unsure how AI would reshape their careers.
Started The Production Line newsletter to share enterprise AI intelligence weekly. Practical, no-hype analysis of what actually works when organizations move from AI experiments to production.
Built TheProductionLine: BYOA AI tools for career growth and enterprise adoption, powered by the same insights from The Production Line. Free tools, transparent costs, no vendor lock-in.
